Carrot Fest started more than 20 years ago and celebrates the Holland Marsh soils, with a focus on the importance of carrots in our local economy. The black organic soils of the Holland Marsh make Bradford West Gwillimbury one of Canada’s biggest carrot-producing regions and the ‘Heart of the Vegetable Industry’. 2025 marks a historic milestone as the Town celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Holland Marsh—a century of agricultural excellence, community spirit, and natural beauty. The event will feature a commemorative booth celebrating 100 years of the rich history and agriculture of the Holland Marsh. The Holland Marsh Growers Association will be handing out free bags of locally grown carrots.
“Carrot Fest is one of the most anticipated events of the year in BWG, and we’re so proud to welcome everyone back to celebrate our community, culture, and agricultural roots. This year is even more special as we mark the 100th anniversary of the Holland Marsh—a true symbol of the hard work and heart that define our town. Whether you’re here for the music, the vendors, or a bag of locally grown carrots, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!” – Mayor of Bradford West Gwillimbury, James Leduc.
The festival will be located along Holland St., Barrie St., Simcoe Rd., and at the Bradford & District Memorial Community Centre. Please refer to road closures and detour routes.
This event is made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors: Experience Simcoe County, Great Gulf, Global Pet Foods, TD Canada, the Holland Marsh Growers Association, Osborne Goddard Team, Capital Power - York Energy, Insure-it group Inc, Tim Hortons Liftow, Bradford Today, Reali’s No Frills, and Elite Dance Corps.
