A thank you to Saint Gabriel the Archangel Catholic School Barrie.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Saint Gabriel school for warmly inviting the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association (AMWA) to participate in their recent Funapalooza family event.

It was truly a beautiful evening of community, connection and celebration.

Our team was honoured to offer henna art, headscarf try-ons and calligraphic bookmarks — each crafted with care and carrying a message of peace.

These simple yet meaningful activities sparked smiles, curiosity and uplifting conversations.

We are especially thankful to the school council and vice-principal for graciously supporting and welcoming our presence.

Experiences like this beautifully show how even small gestures — like a swirl of henna or the tying of a scarf — can open doors to understanding and connection.

When schools create space for cultural exchange, they help foster empathy, inclusivity and a sense of belonging that stays with students long after the event ends.

Moments like these naturally inspire more opportunities to celebrate the rich diversity within our communities.

We sincerely look forward to more collaborations in the future as we continue to spread kindness and unity — one henna design at a time.
